My breakfast options in the past consisted of the following categories:
Fruit based smoothies
Roti and vegetables
Toasted bread and some sort of savoury filling
Toasted bread, butter and jam
All of these options, minus the fruit based smoothies are made from white flour or wheat flour. I noticed recently that my tolerance level for these flour based products has fallen considerable. I grew up eating all those flour based food but now find that she trigger abdominal discomfort and pain. I feel that my breakfast options are now limited. I was speaking to a friend recently who is eating low carb diet and I asked her what breakfast ideas she suggested.
I also did some online research myself and I am now going to be trying to cut down some of those carbs that my body cannot tolerate.
My first day Breakfast ideas:
Thinly sliced carrots, potatoes, onions and red peppers
*Extra virgin olive oil for frying, ground black pepper and salt, dictated by the individual’s taste preferences. I like spicy so I tend to add fresh chilli peppers as well.
